Well, this is my first post and as such I want to explain who I am and the purpose that I hope to serve with this blog. After all, all blogs have a purpose, right? I go by Arcania for the most part and would have taken it in WoW except that it was already taken. So, I created a character. As such I didn’t know a thing when I started three or so years ago. Now that I have a pretty good grasp on things, I wanted to share that knowledge with people like you that come to read my blog.

I’m an RPer. Have been since I was a little kid starting off with the original Dungeons & Dragons and continuing into today. Most of my RP nowadays falls into the WoW context. A little less paperwork involved in it, but it still is involved in many other ways. I’ve been RPing in WoW since my first character Lannia Winterstorm was level 7. Heck, she didn’t even have a last name back then. And even now, Lannia Winterstorm, will be my forever main. The character that I treasure.

It might seem silly to treasure a character or anything virtual, but it’s interesting. When you’re in the game and you begin RPing, you are a part of the history of a living, breathing community. Your actions can have an effect, for good or bad. I still remember some of those early days of RP fondly, such as when someone re-rolled a character, we received news through one of their alts (the character’s sister) that he’d been killed by the Defias. Hah! It was a good old excuse for us to run the Deadmines through again for “revenge”!

While I may be straying somewhat from my original point. You can be assured that I am passionate about my characters and I want to help others who want to create characters to live in this virtual world and to become a part of their realm’s history. I hope that you will join me back here as I explore many of the different RP challenges that exist and the stories of my particular characters.
